mcm 101 assignment no 1 ;

With the arrival of Cable television in Pakistan, general public has limited the use of national media.
Thus they rely on TV channels like star plus, HBO, star Movies for entertainment. It is horrifying that
these TV channel are bringing a negative cultural change in Pakistani society by parting them from
their national TV channels. Due to this reason the reach of Pakistani culture to its public has been
limited.
1. What cultural aspects of Pakistani society are under the influence of these TV channels?
2. What negative impact do Indian TV channels have on Pakistani society?
3. Provide your five suggestions as how Pakistani TV channels can compete with foreign TV
channels.
