Puzzle Furniture
Reusable, recyclable and multipurpose seem to be the order of the day and many are embracing the trend with great gusto. Many of us dispose of things without actually assessing their potential for re usability. Here is a wonderful way to create transformable furniture for those of you who have space constraints and are always on the move. Puzzle furniture, as the name suggests is a wonderfully puzzling concept that can be shaped from old pieces of furniture that is cracked and damaged.
These hollow cubes are shaped from old wooden pieces and they can be linked together by joints in as many as eighteen varying ways. The sides of the panel are beautified with old clothes, bags and old signs which give them an entirely vibrant and attractive look. Based on the color combination of the walls, the surfaces of the blocks can be adorned with varying fabric prints and textures.
The greatest advantage of multipurpose furniture is that it can be transformed into a variety of furniture styles to suit your needs. The blocks can be put together to form chairs, tables, racks, shelves, desks and cabinets according to your taste. There are a total of eight modules which can be rearranged in an instant. The modules are very lightweight and can be easily manipulated by a single person. Each one measures 30 centimeters and suit every modern environment aptly.
Puzzle furniture is a simple structure that can be created at home by anyone with basic carpentry skills. These are entirely useful items especially if you live off the shelf and are constantly shifting houses. They are easy to carry around and can be constructed as detachable pieces as well which will make it easy to pack them during transportation. Next time when you plan to throw away old shelves and cabinets, think before you do it as they could make interesting transformable furniture with a bit of dexterity of hand.
